The Roots of Renew Vintage

Our story began in 2008, when Brooke was made redundant from her regular 9-5 - what felt like one of the lowest points in her life became the spark for something new: a small business auctioning vintage clothing on eBay and at local markets around Sydney.

A decade later, in 2018, Brooke and her young family packed up their lives and set off on a travelling adventure across Australia. To earn a little pocket money on the road, Brooke sold kantha blankets at every stop until a chance encounter with a woman in Tasmania inspired her to create something different: comfortable, vibrant clothing made from these kantha fabrics.

From that moment, Renew Vintage began to blossom into something new. What started as a spark of inspiration has now grown into a global brand, offering unique designs and one-of-a-kind kantha pieces. And we’re only just getting started! Our dream is to continue to help people discover clothing that’s as unique as they are, pieces that make them feel good in their own skin, no matter what stage of life they’re in.

Our Values

At Renew Vintage, our values guide everything we do. We believe clothing should be made with care, for people and for the planet. That’s why we prioritise ethical production, paying our team a living wage and supporting women-led businesses every step of the way.

We design our pieces to last, encouraging outfit repeating and mindful wardrobes to help keep clothing out of landfill. Wherever possible, we use recycled and recyclable materials and avoid unnecessary packaging, keeping our footprint as light as we can.

Even the smallest details matter to us, like reusing our fabric offcuts as kantha ties to wrap your orders with love! We nurture close relationships with our manufacturing partners, ensuring we source the best fabrics and that every piece is created with care and positive energy, something we hope you can feel each time you wear it.

What Can You Find in Our Shop?

In our online store, you’ll find a fun mix of recycled kantha and silk clothing, and accessories. You'll discover easy-to-wear pants, tops, dresses, overalls, jumpsuits, coats, headscarves, the list goes on! Many of our designs feature thoughtful details (incl pockets!) and whenever possible we aim for our styles to be fully reversible for extra versatility. We’re proud to offer sizing from XS through to 3XL alongside several one-size-fits-most styles, creating a range that we hope many people can enjoy and feel confident in.
